MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Forward 44: Kearney Street (Missouri Route 744) Left-Lanes Closed
Where: Kearney Street (Missouri Route 744) east and westbound left-lane Closed between the westbound I-44 on-ramp and West Bypass (U.S. Route 160) in Springfield
When: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday & Thursday, September 10 & 11, Monday – Wednesday, September 14-16
What: Contractor crews will close the left lanes of east and westbound Kearney Street (Missouri Route 744) between the I-44 on-ramp and West Bypass (U.S. Route 160) to collect core samples as part of the upcoming Forward 44 project. Traffic Impacts:
- Kearney Street (Missouri Route 744) east and westbound left-lane Closed between the westbound I-44 on-ramp and West Bypass (U.S. Route 160) in Springfield
- Left lanes will be open during nighttime hours and on the weekend
- Crew and equipment close to traffic
- No signed detours; drivers are urged to find alternate routes
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers to work zones and inform the public when there are reduced speeds and traffic delays
