Resurfacing Project on Routes 7 & 13 in Henry & Cass Cos. to Begin Week of Sept. 14

Henry County – Drivers can expect reduced lanes and occasional traffic delays on Missouri Routes 7 & 13 in Henry and Cass counties during a resurfacing project beginning the week of September 14, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

This is the work being done on this project:

  • 7 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, September 14-18
    • Contractor crews working on approaches to bridges on northbound Missouri Route 7 just west of Northwest Henry County 351 Road west of Clinton and southbound Route 7 over Town Creek in Clinton
  • 7 p.m.-7 a.m., beginning week of September 20, seven days a week for up to 10 days
    • Contractor crews resurfacing Missouri Route 7 from Northwest Henry County 351 Road west of Clinton south to Missouri Route 18 (Ohio Street) in Clinton
  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m., beginning week of September 28, seven days a week for up to 10 days
    • Contractor crews resurfacing Missouri Route 13 from Route 18 (Ohio Street) in Clinton south to Missouri Route 52 (Deepwater exit) in Henry County
  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m., beginning week of October 12, seven days a week for up to 10 days
    • Contractor crews resurfacing Missouri Route 7 from Cass County Route B at Creighton south to Northwest Henry County 351 Road west of Clinton

Traffic impacts:

  • Traffic reduced to one lane where contractor crews are working
  • All lanes OPEN during during hours crews are not working
  • Watch for reduced speed limits and expect delays
  • Drivers should be aware of crews and equipment entering and exiting work zones and working close to traffic
  • No signed detour
  • Drivers should find alternate routes to avoid work zones
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zones
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling delays could alter the work schedule.

Project information:

  • Prime contractor: Capital Paving & Construction, Jefferson City
  • Total project cost: $5.6 million
  • Completion date: November 1, 2026
